Andrew Wesley Gantt, Sr., 68, of 115 Melrose Lane in Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center. 

He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas and was an Army Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Louise Galloway Jarrett Gantt; daughters, Nicole Pam, Ursula Chester, Shelia Pulley, and Melissa A. Mixon; sons, Andrew Gantt, Jr., Bernard Lewis, and Delany Anderson; twenty-seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren (two reared in the home, Auria Chester and JaSiah Shoemaker; one brother, James Gantt; one special daughter, Mary Joseph; and a host of in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mattie Thornton Gantt; three grandchildren, Calvin Malik Chester, Kemon Pulley, and Jayceon Mixon; one sister, Esther Shaw; and five brothers, Charles Gantt, Clarence Gantt, David Gantt, Purcell Gantt, and Robert Gantt.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2017 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military honors.  

The family is at the home, 115 Melrose Lane Anderson, SC 29626.
