Fred "June" Chancler, Jr., 68, of 630 Railroad Street in Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Fred joined the U.S. Army in 1968.  After 3 years of service, he received an honorable discharge in 1971.  Fred was well known for his ability to fix anything.  He was a self employed handyman as well as a caregiver for his mother.

He is survived by his daughters, Teona and Dr. Lover L. M. Chancler; stepdaughters, Carmen and Shakia Sullivan; nine grandchildren; his mother, Lover Lee Wardlaw Chancler; and six siblings, Shirley Chancler, Gloria (L.C.) McCullough, William “Toket” Chancler, Jeraldine Gambrell, Vina Darko, and Helen Chancler.

He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Chancler, Sr. and one brother, Otis Wardlaw.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in the Ollie Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at M. J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
