Hampton Cherry, Jr. Obituary
Mr. Hampton Cherry, Jr., 72, of Lanford Street in Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center. He was on February 12, 1945 in Anderson, SC.
Hampton graduated from Old Westside High School and retired from Anderson School District 5. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a former member of the NAACP.
He is survived by his three sisters, Margaret Mattress, Sara Cherry, and Jessie Pulliam; two brothers, Leroy Cherry and Henry Cherry; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives; and dear friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
The family is at their respective homes.
