Mr. James Matthew "Jabo" Scott, 69, of 120 Amberwood Lane in Pendleton, SC, passed away on April 1, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

He is survived by his two daughters, Cheryl A. Hamilton and Daryl A. Mackey; four sisters, Esther Scott, Annette Brown, Rose Mary Mansell, and Sharon D. (Pastor Wayne) Best; two brothers, Jay Van Smith and Fernando Gambrell; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; a special friend, Angela Davis; and a host of family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jonnie Bell Scott; parents, Augusta Scott and Annie Mae Webb Smith; grandparents, Walter Webb, Mary Webb, Raymond Scott, Sr., and Marie Gaines Scott; sister, Sarah Ann Scott; and brothers, Stanley Smith and Gignilliat Smith, Jr.  

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC.

The family is at the home, 120 Amberwood Lane Unit 21 Pendleton, SC 29670.
