Mrs. Jennie Ruth Sims Allen, 75, of 1501 E. Greenville Street (formerly of Chauga Drive) in Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.  

She is survived by her children, Joyce Allen, Barbara Fleming, Teresa Chancellor, Rodney Allen, and Reggie Allen; one sister, Minister McDowell; one brother, Andrew Gaines; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Allen; parents, Pete and Orgie Sims Gaines; and two sons, James "Jimmy" Allen and Khalid Rahman.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.  

The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Gina Moss, 103 De Leon Drive Anderson, SC 29626.
