Mr. Jimmy Rainey, 68, of 516 Lawrence Beatty Road in Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Hospice of the Upstate.

He is survived by his children, V. Adrina (Tyrone) Gray, Lee (Cathy) Rainey, and Lawana Thompson; four loving grandchildren; two sisters, Bettie (Daniel) Moss and Margaret Willis; three brothers, David Rainey, J.B. (Betty Rainey, and John (Joan) Rainey; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mack and Elizabeth Hunter Rainey; one sister, Iola Rainey; and one brother, Lester Rainey.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at Generostee Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery. 

The family is at the home of his daughter, Adrina (Tyrone) Gray 329 Sherman Drive Anderson, SC 29624.
