Ms. Nettie Louise Davis Rice, 73, of 1027 Whitner Drive in Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

She is survived by her daughter, Yvette Rice (Lyonell "Bear") Hammond of Anderson, SC; one son, Larry Rice of Anderson, SC; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one brother, L.C. (Ivy) Davis of Anderson, SC; one sister, Ann Davis Dunaway of Baltimore, MD; and a host of relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Landis and Ruth McDowell Davis; one son, Carter Lee Rice, Jr; three sisters, Annie Ruth Davis Martin, Geneva Davis McGowan, and Emma Davis; and one brother, Landis Davis, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Evergreen Baptist Church in Anderson, SC.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
