Mr. Roosevelt Burnside, 81, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2017 at Oconee Memorial Hospital.

He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Williamston, SC and retired from Michelin Tires.

He is survived by his two daughters, Lois Hicks and Roxy (Terry) Hicks; two sons, Steve William Burnside and Mark Burnside; one sister, Georgia Williams; four brothers, Bobby, Billy, George and Richard Burnside; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of relatives.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Lee Allgood Burnside; parents, George and Roxy Sullivan Burnside; four children, Thomas, James, Robert, and Cecilia Burnside; one sister, Hattie Ford; and one son-in-law, James Douglas Hicks.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Mt. Able Baptist Church in Pendleton, SC.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Lois Hicks, 118 Davis Street Central, SC.
