Sallie L. Blackwell Diggs, 89, formerly of New York, passed away on June 23, 2017 in Anderson, SC.

She is survived by her sisters, Blanche Jones of New York, Willie Burton, and Roberta Kay both of Anderson, SC; one brother, T.C. Kay of Anderson, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Diggs; parents, Rebecca Blackwell Kay and Truey Belcher; brothers, James Blackwell, James Kay, and John Albert Kay; and grandparents, Sallie and John Henry Blackwell.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
