Sallie Mae Jones Simpson, 83, of 64 Poplar Street Hartwell, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at her home.  She was born in Royston, GA to Elizabeth Blackwell Jones Curry and Bernice Jones on June 8, 1933.

She leaves to cherish her memory to her daughters, Priscilla Allen and Tina Simpson; one sister, Ida De'Hill; nine grandchildren; and a host of great grands, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Simpson; parents; and two daughters, Sandra Diane Allen and Chattie Mae Simpson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 2, 2017 at Sanders Grove Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family is at the home, 64 Poplar Street Hartwell, GA 30643.
