Clara Mae (Hagood) Osbey

Mrs. Clara Mae Hagood Osbey, 70, of Miller Road in Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Rainey Hospice House.

She was a member of New Holly Light Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a former employee of Wamsutta Mills for 20 years.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Lewis Osbey, Sr.; three daughters, Herlena Owens, Rushella Osbey and Ciara Osbey; three sons, Herbert L. Osbey, Jr., William Christopher Osbey and Herbert L. Osbey III; fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Carrie Johnson, Lourlean Oglesby, Anna Marie "Ann" Allman and Mabell Jones; five brothers, William Hagood, John David Hagood, James Stanley Hagood, Ronald Hagood and Donald Hagood; and a host of relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton and Ruby Smith Hagood; one son, Anthony Osbey; and two sisters, Leonia Robinson and JoAnne Hagood.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at New Holly Light Missionary Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery (Holly Springs Cemetery.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Herlena Owens, 117 Oxford Drive Anderson, SC 29625.
