TC Kay

Mr. TC Kay, 85, of Sexton Ginn Road, Iva, SC, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Iva Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.  He was born on May 8, 1933 in Abbeville County, SC to the late Gene and Rebecca Blackwell Kay.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three sisters, Blanche Jones, of Mt. Vernon, NY, Willie Kay Burton and Roberta Kay of Anderson, SC; one grandson, Ricky Harper of Anderson, SC and one granddaughter, Sabrina “Brinda-Mane” Harper of Tennessee; great-grandchildren; his beloved puppy, “CJ”; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mammie Lee “Mank” Goss-Kay; daughter Ella Mae Harper; parents, Gene and Rebecca Blackwell Kay; three brothers, James “Pit” Blackwell, James “Bubba” Kay, John Albert Kay; one sister, Sallie Lou Diggs; and his grandparents, John Henry and Sallie Blackwell.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.

The family is at the home of his sister, Roberta Kay, 115 Gamewell Court, Anderson, SC 29621.
