Alphonso Smith Obituary
Mr. Alphonso Smith, 74, of 608 Leon Drive in Anderson, SC passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at AnMed Health Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Gaines Smith; children, Natasha Johnson, Deborah (Marc) Pierce, Lashonda Gaines, Felicia Gaines, Larhonda Gaines, Corissa Gaines, and Kevin Ware; eighteen grandchildren: Tiffany, Joi, Brandon, Ayanna, Antonio, Hope, Mariah, Macayla, Adrian, Nyzhay, Shedrick, Jasmine, Quindarious, Shanessa, Keshon, Cormyus, Mason, and Asia; ten great-grandchildren: Athena, Avery, Malaysia, Kylee, Moses, Kyrie, Valiyha, Kynzie, Sanovia, and Kashis; and a host of other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson and Mallie Williams Braswell; one granddaughter, Saneya; one sister, Roberta Harris; and one brother, James W. Skirty.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2021 at Flat Rock A.M.E. Church Cemetery. Public viewing Sunday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
