Dupre "Skipper" Martin

Dupre Martin was born April 29, 1966 to the late Len and Sophia Martin.  He departed this life on Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his son, Carlos Paul of Piedmont, SC, three daughters, Shanika Lee, Myra Martin both of Greenwood, SC and Shapree Martin of the home; two step-sons, Jaivaro Dixon and  Tyree Gray; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Gloria Johnson, Deloria Airline and Willie Simmons; two brothers, Chevy Martin and Rudolph Martin; a special friend, Jeanette Norman of Calhoun Falls, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Washington Martin; one sister, Lee V. Covington; three brothers, Odell Martin, Bonnie Lee Martin and James Russell Martin.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will be held on Wednesday, January 19 Wilson Creek First Baptist Church Cemetery in Iva, SC.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, January 14 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday, January 15 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  

The family is at the home, 366 Blackhill Road in Due West, SC.
