Ella Roebuck Hartley

Mrs. Ella Roebuck Hartley, 72, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

She is survived by her six daughters, Geneva Hartley, Allison Hartley, Leslie Hartley, Tina Hartley, Nina (Marcus) Martin, and Madia Sheppard; one son, Carl Hartley; two goddaughters, Cassandra Martin and Ann Walker; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margie Richardson, Frances L. Hatton, and Patricia A. Roebuck; one brother, Fennice C. (Teresa) Roebuck; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Bessie Mae Freeman Roebuck; eight sisters, Betty Jean Gilliard, Freddie Mae Sullivan, Ruby Brow, Rebecca Jones, Ilenee Maxwell, Sara Roebuck, Lilly Mae Keese, and Carribell Willingham; seven brothers, James, Willie, Claude, G.V., Eve, Nelson, and KC Roebuck; and one grandson, Malcom Henry.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.   The interment will follow at Generostee Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Friends may pay their respects and send floral arrangements on Friday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family will be at their respective homes.
