Mrs. Joan "Gregory" Goss Webb was born in Anderson, South Carolina on March 4, 1960 to Garfield and Nellie Mae Williams Goss. She departed this life Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at home surrounded by her family.
Gregory as she was affectionately called, LOVED to cook. She started her cooking career at Chew & Chat and later worked at the Meeting Place for many years until they closed down. She also worked at various other restaurants including the Mama Penn's. Gregory also cooked Sunday dinners for the community. During the past few years, her health began to decline, but her will to fight inclined. No matter what she was going through, she continued to have that beautiful smile.
She will be dearly missed by her four daughters, April Diane Goss, Iona Michelle Goss, Tamana Brianna Goss, and Natasha (Rodney) Williams; two sons, Morris Leon Goss and Timo Goss; one sister, Sheila Goss; twenty-two grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Leon Webb; her parents; one blessed son, Christopher Leon Willingham; one brother, James Goss; three sisters, Eva Mae Goss Walton, Evelyn Goss Simmons, and Linda Diane Goss; and two grandchildren, Quindarius and Inashia.
The family will celebrate her life, on her birthday, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.
The family is at the home, 312-A West Rosevelt Drive and at the home of her son, Morris Leon Goss, 318 Winchester Drive, Anderson, SC.
