Martha Ann (Johnson) Chester

Mrs. Martha Ann Johnson Chester, 85, of 1109 Burns Bridge Road in Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021.  She was born in Anderson, SC on December 15, 1935 to Winford and Sudie Mae Oglesby Johnson.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Lewis and Ollie Mae Hamburg; and three brothers, J.C., Winford, and Pete Johnson.

She will be dearly missed by her children: Margaret Chester, Barbara Chester, Evelyn Hooper (Ricardo), Lisa Chester-Blanding (Freddy), Lonnel Chester Jr., Martha Chester-Patterson (Larry), Cynthia Robinson (Cephas), Ralph Thomas Chester (Elena), and Danny Chester (Kelley), all of Anderson, SC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Memory Gardens.
