Mertha Porterfield Obituary
Mrs. Mertha Porterfield, 97, of Belton, SC, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020.
Mertha leaves precious memories to be cherished by her son, James Curtis Porterfield; one brother, Marcell Fant (Mary); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Porterfield; parents, James E. and Sallie Adger Fant; three sisters, Frances Thompson, Corine Davis, and Alberta Hill; and five brothers, James Charlie Fant, Sylvester Lewis Fant, John Foster Fant, James Andrew Fant, and Richard Eugene Fant.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Jefferson Chapel A.M.E. Church Cemetery. The Interment will follow.
Friends may pay their respects on Monday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
