Mitchell C. (Mitch) Irby

Mitchell Cannel Irby was born in Anderson, South Carolina on October 21, 1977 to Robbie Mae Irby and Bobby Lewis.  He departed this life on Friday, March 29, 2024.

Mitch, as he was called by his family and friends was a very quiet and mild-mannered guy.  He attended McDuffie High School and was raised on Southside on Hampton Street.  You could always find him sitting on the porch at the blue house with a ballcap on or his favorite color red.

Mitch loved his kids and his family.  His presence will be dearly missed by his children, Kenterrious Tyrel Perry, Emmry Smith, Robbie Irby and Skylar Irby; two siblings, Londas Maurice Irby and Latoyya Monieke Irby; father, Bobby Lewis; and a host of relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Robbie Mae Irby; son, Zavion Irby; grandmother, Irene Irby and his grandfathers, Robert Earl Irby and Thomas Calhoun "T.C." Dawson, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.  Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
