Robert David Edwards

Mr. Robert David Edwards was born on January 30, 1969 in Springfield, MA.  He was the son of the late Robert Edwards and Gennievie Thompson Edwards.  He departed this life on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

David graduated from McDuffie High School.  He went on to study Business Administration at Anderson College.  David over the years held various positions.  He was a teacher's assistant as well as a bus driver for Anderson School District Five.  His passion was singing and playing the organ.  He played for various groups and churches in Anderson and Greenville counties.  He was the current organist for Redeemed New Birth and Piedmont Manor, both in Greenville, SC.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his stepmother, Annie Edwards of Anderson, SC; wife, Angela Davis Edwards of Greenville, SC; sisters, Pamela Robinson of Anderson, SC, Michelle Jordan and Sharin Jordan Wright both of Springfield, MA; brothers, Carlton Edwards of Easley, SC, Steven Smith and Al Tyrone Jordan both of Springfield, MA; one aunt, Doris Ware of Jamaica, NY; one uncle, Luther (Lucy) Walker of Anderson, SC; caregiver, Rebecca Johnson of Greenville, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tony M. Robinson, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
