On March 2, 1968 Alfonzo Hawkins and Mary Elizabeth Jones were blessed with a handsome son named Willis Tracy “Tray” Jones. On June 29, 2020 he was called home to his eternal home to be with the Lord and his other loved ones.
Tracy leaves to cherish his loving memories his loving wife, Sara Williams Jones; his mother, Mary Jones Smith Willingham; his children, Reginald (Felicia) Williams, Shamika Craft, Laqueisha Jones, Willis A.T. Jones, Tyrek Jones and Cherish Jones; eighteen grandchildren, all of Anderson, South Carolina; father in law Robert Hogan of Anderson, South Carolina; sisters, Mary Ann Jones of Anderson, South Carolina, Tasha (Adrian) Talley and Patricia (Joe) Brownlee of Greenville, South Carolina; brothers, James Hawkins, Curtis (Tonya) Hawkins, James Jr. Hawkins “Ball,” Alfonzo Hawkins, Jr., Billy Ray Hawkins, Anthony Hawkins, Richard Norris, Tyrone Sanders, Antonio Burns, all of Greenville, South Carolina, William D. (Janet) Smith, Roger Jr. (Robin) Burns and Calvin Burns, all of Anderson, South Carolina; Thomas Burns of Florida, Patrick Smith of Allendale, South Carolina, Jermaine Willingham of Anderson, South Carolina, Tracy Willingham of Chattanooga, Tennessee; brothers-in-law Ronald M. (Darlene) Williams,Terry L. (Jane) Williams both of Anderson, South Carolina and Robert A. (Jasmine) Hogan, Sr. of FountainInn, South Carolina; four aunts, Ann Calhoun, Deloris J. (Jessie) Brown, Betty Jean Estrick and Daisy L. Cowans; one uncle, Uncle James Charlie Jones, Jr. and a special mother, Mary Sanders Norris.
Tracy was preceded in death by his father, Alfonzo Hawkins; mother-in-law Esther M Hogan; brothers, Willie S. Smith and Larry Williams; sisters-in-law, Patricia D Jenkins and Brenda J. Brock; maternal grandparents, Pearl Lee Jones and James Charlie Jones, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Alonzo and Lillie Mae Hawkins; two aunts, Mary Ann Williams and Brenda M. Hawkins; two uncles, Thomas Hawkins and Henry Hawkins.
A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the funeral home. Lawn-chairs and masks/facial coverings are welcomed. The interment will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020 at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
Friends may pay their respects and send floral arrangements on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
