Mr. Alvin Gilliard, 56, of Outz Road in Townville, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at his home.

He is survived by his wife, Angela Lunette Gilliard; five sons, Joe Allen (Misty), Tony, Travis, Michael (Jesse), and Jermaine (Diane); two daughters, Shanise and Christy; eleven grandchildren; stepmother, Ella Mae Dennis Merriweather;  five sisters, Lucille (Bobby) Lewis, Dorothy (John) Ardister, Rosa Mae Geer, Renee (Reggie) Davis, and Cindy Dennis; and eight brothers, James (Idanell) Johnson, William (Gracie) Johnson, James Gilliard, John Thomas Gilliard, David Gilliard, Christopher (Theressa) Dennis, Michael (Melissa) Dennis, and Charles Dennis; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Josephine Johnson Gilliard; and two sisters, Annette Corner and Lena Mae Smith

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of his sister, Lucille Lewis, 12046 West Oak Hwy. Seneca, SC.
