Mrs. Ella Lee Hatten Beaty, age 101, of Sexton Gin Road in Starr, SC, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at Rainey Hospice.

She is survived by her daughter, Loraine Beaty Telford; sons, Nathaniel Beaty, Jr., William Beaty, and Douglas Beaty; and a host of grandchildren and other relatives.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Beaty, Sr.; parents, Feaster and Hattie Clinkscales Hatten; one daughter, Dorothy Belle Beaty Hunter; sisters, Viola Clinkscales, Mary Ella Sherman, Lillie Williams, Florence Hatten, and Catherine "Ochie" Hatten Anderson; and brothers, Walter Clinkscales, Luther Hatten, Ernest Hatten, Parisee Hatten, Roscoe Hatten; and Robert Hatten.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Shiloh Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be at their respective homes.
