Mr. Herman Hardy, 65, of 211 Hillside Circle in Iva, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center.  Herman retired from BASF and joined Royal Baptist Church at a young age.

He is survived by his wife, Vertice Tonia Jackson Hardy of the home; one son, Tracy Edwin Hardy (Frances) of Fort Walton Beach, FL; mother, Lorene Lee; one sister, Connie Clinkscales of Anderson, SC; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alex Hardy and one sister, Mary Diane Hardy.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Flat Rock A.M.E. Church in Abbeville, SC.  The interment will be held at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military honors.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m on Wednesday.
