My dearest Walker Family, My heart is so heavy, and breaking inside right now. When I received the news of Sandra's death on Christmas Day, I was devastated. Sandra and I bonded even closer during her stay at MUSC. We laughed, cut up, and watched the Clemson game together. I loved Sandra like a sister, and I know she is in a better place, and at peace! Even though Sandra is gone, she WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! I read some bible verses to Sandra, and I told her my favorite was PSALM 91. To the Walker Family, please know that you all are in my thoughts, and prayers. I love you all so much, and I am so glad that I got to spend this precious time with your free spirited, sassy, beautiful, baby girl. Love you all 4-ever!!!

Although I did not know Sandra, it touched me deeply to read of her death, knowing the pain that her family would have to endure. When mankind's enemy death, breaks into our lives, it can leave us at such a loss that we feel hopeless. Please know family, that even at this difficult time there is hope! Our loving Creator, Jehovah God, has made us a promise that assures us that we can see our loved ones again. At Isaiah 26:19 Jehovah makes this promise: “Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Yes, the sure promise of the resurrection is one that we should cleave to. For more information on God's promise of a future resurrection I invite you to visit the website: www.jw.org. You will find so much comfort as you await the fulfillment of Jehovah God's promises to mankind to resurrect ones from the dead!!! My deepest sympathy to the family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved family member. When a loved one dies, it causes so much pain and sorrow. Because our loving God Jehovah created humans to live and not to die, “He has even put eternity in their heart” ( Ecclesiastes 3:11a ), he understands the deep emotional pain death causes. But we are not left alone to cope with our grief and sadness. Jehovah God gives us comfort from his word the Bible. Scriptures that can comfort us are found at Psalm 34:18 which says: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit”. He has also promise at Revelation 21:3,4 that sickness and death will be removed and our loved ones will have the prospect of living on a paradise earth in perfect health by means of the resurrection (John 5:28,29). We can put our trust in these promises because “God cannot lie”( Titus 1:2).
